Every day the elderly in our community are targets of scammers, thieves and con-artists. Thankfully many people in Summit County work to protect them. Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh is one of those people who work tirelessly to protect the rights of the elderly of Summit County. Jewish Family Service of Akron’s mission is to work with our area’s most vulnerable elderly.
Sherri will be honored at a special reception on Thursday, September 7, 2017, 4:30-6:30 p.m., at the Fairlawn Country Club, for her dedication to protecting older adults. We hope you will join us to honor Sherri and to support the work of Jewish Family Service (JFS) by purchasing a personalized ad in the tribute book or tickets to attend the reception.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the specialized programs offered by JFS to include counseling, case management and education for seniors (age 45 and older) and the adults who care for them. JFS serves both the Jewish and non-Jewish communities. No one is denied services based on their inability to pay.
To purchase tickets for the reception or to purchase a personalized ad in the tribute book, call JFS at 330-867-3388 or email Tuesday Slomovitz.
